How To Hack The Chrome Dino / Dinosaur Game🦖

If you ever get into the no internet page on Chrome, then you know a retro dinosaur will show up. And this can change a gloomy moment into an addictive game. Like come on who doesn’t like free exciting games especially offline ones😉.

So here is a quick trick that will make you be a ‘Hacker ‘ 😂😂 at least you will be.

How To Play

The good thing with chrome Dino is that you don’t need internet connection to play. Infact you can only play it when you’re disconnected from the internet.

If you do have an internet connection, you can access this page without cutting the connection. Type chrome://dino in the address bar, and it will take you there.

Start the game by pressing the space bar. The dinosaur will begin running. The objective of the game is to avoid whatever comes your way, such as birds and cacti. Once the dinosaur gets hit by a bird or runs into a cactus, it’s game over.

Steps To Hack The Chrome Dino Game 😎

  1. You will need to be on the no internet connection page that is using either methods above

2. Right click on the page and select inspect

3. Click on inspect to open DevTools

4. On DevTools Window, select ‘Console’ Tab

Alternatively, you can press Ctrl+Shift+I and jump straight to the “Console” tab in Chrome DevTools.

5. On the console tab paste the following command and press enter

var original = Runner.prototype.gameOver

6. Next enter the following command

Runner.prototype.gameOver = function (){}

hack chrome dino / chrome dinnouser game

On the next line, f (){} will appear after pressing the “Enter” key.

7. Close the DevTool tab and play the game to see the magic happen 😎

You just hacked your first game 🤣🤣 kidding thou.

Explaining the Above code

When the game is over that is you hit an object, Runner.prototype.gameOver() is called and the action is triggered. In this case, you’ll hear a sound, the game stops, and a Game Over message appears. That’s without the code.

What our code does is replaces the gameOver function with an empty function. That means that instead of hearing the sound, the game stopping, and the message appearing, nothing happens. You just keep running.

How to stop the game

lets say you have played over an hour and just want to screenshot and share your score with friends

simple

  1. Go to the DevTool tab using the above procedure
  2. Locate console and paste this code

Runner.prototype.gameOver = original

Now the game can end and you can share it with your friends.
